Traditional driver recruitment at Midland requires applicants to possess at least two years of practical Class 1 experience prior to joining our team, but all drivers need to start somewhere! We see tremendous value in giving you the opportunity to develop a stable and worthwhile career in our industry. Our Novice Driver Program offers Class 1 drivers with less than two years of experience the opportunity to get behind the wheel.

Novice Driver program

Our Novice Driver program is a leading edge program for fleets specializing in LTL and Truckload moves. Our goal is to ensure new driver candidates are properly trained through mentorship by our professional driver trainers, and the use of a state of the art simulator. This program is designed to assist new drivers in continuing to establish safe driving skills while learning about the industry, the regions, and markets we serve. Spaces in this program are limited and open to individuals who are safety-focused and interested in a professional driving career.

Qualifications

Base level knowledge through completion of a recognized 12-week driver training program from an approved truck training school. CLASS 1 holders without experience will be given consideration.

Desire to embrace and apply the training received through Midland NOVICE DRIVER PROGRAM to the daily operation of your assigned tractor and trailer.
